Links from Annual Meeting

Thank you to all who attended the Annual Meeting. Here are some links we discussed tonight:

DBCNA Newsletter

Click here for the current issue of the Spring 2014 newsletter. If you did NOT get a newsletter delivered to your home, please let us know at info@dominicanareanews.com. All newsletters are delivered by hand by a team of volunteer neighbors to save on the postal costs. They are not allowed, by the Post Office laws, to put the newsletter IN your mailbox. This is why you may find it on top or under your front door mat. We do our best to leave the newsletter in a safe place where it won’t blow away. Let us know if you can’t find your copy.

Traffic Safety Committee

The Traffic Safety Committee is meeting on Thursday, May 22 at 7 pm in the Trinity Church multipurpose room. Come down the left side of the building and go through the door. Everyone is welcome to join in a discussion of the current traffic issues.

Dominican Fitness Class

Meets on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30am in the Multi-purpose room in Conlan Recreation Center. To participate, you will just need to join Conlan. For 65 and over, membership cost for just the weight room is $170 per year. For more information contact Sue Bowser at suebowser@aol.com.

Neighborhood Picnic

If you are on NextDoor.com, you’ve seen the request for committee members to organize a neighborhood picnic. Please contact Corinne Bartshire if you are interested in helping us pull this together.

City Council Communication Survey

The city council asked that we in the neighborhood disseminate a survey on how well the city communicates to residents and how their decision making process is viewed. To take the survey, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GC39CKR, or in Spanish https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GJJ3VRL.
